By far the most frequent questions I have been asked at wealthinfo in recent time are what type of small businesses would I recommend in present-day Nigeria that somebody can easily start with small amount of investment capital?

The rate of unemployment is increasing by the day and some of the jobs available are not even worth having. As a result, many people will rather start their own businesses rather than work wait for unavailable jobs.

Everybody drink water and almost everybody drink non-alcoholic beverages, usually called soft drinks in Nigeria. Your market is the many retail shops in your locality, restaurants, bars, mini fast foods spots and individuals who buy in crates and packs for household consumption.

To do this business successfully, you have to have a regular source of supply. In this regard, you will develop a relationship with major distributors and wholesalers who will give you the drinks and packaged water with discounts; you deliver directly to these retailers identified above with some margin.
