Facts about Malaysia Visa for Nigerians
Malaysia is a Southeast Asian country occupying parts of the Malay Peninsula and the island of Borneo. It is known for its beaches, rain-forests and mix of Malay, Chinese, Indian and European cultural influences. The capital, Kuala Lumpur, is home to colonial buildings, busy shopping districts such as Bukit Bintang and skyscrapers such as the iconic, 451m-tall Petronas Twin Towers. Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Malaysian Visa.
A Nigerian passport valid for at least 6 months from the intended arrival date and must have 2 blank pages for visa stamp.
Credit/debit card or PayPal account for payment.
Duly completed and signed visa application form.
If the applicant is a minor, the parents/legal guardians have to sign the form.
Passport-size photographs(3.5×4.5 cm in dimension) taken on white background.
Travel document.
Proof of financial support.
Proof of accommodation.
Copy of return flight ticket with e-Ticket Number.
Documentation showing applicant’s ties to the home country, e.g. verification from the applicant’s employer.
A police report showing the traveler does not have a criminal record.
Medical Insurance.
Documentation confirming the purpose of travel.
Copy of travel itinerary.
If staying with a friend/relative, you must provide a cover letter that includes the address and ID of the person.

Malaysia Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
Traveling to Malaysia for visit and leisure requires a tourist visa.
Most nationalities are exempt from tourist visas, but for Nigerians, visa is required.
Malaysia tourist visa can be for single or multiple entry and the visa holder is entitled to stay up to 30 days for each visit to Malaysia.
As a tourist, you are offered 3 types of Malaysia tourist visa but your eligibility will vary based on various factors.
The different types of Malaysia tourist visas are:
Malaysia eNTRI visa
30 days single entry visa
30 days multiple entry visas
Only the single-entry 30-day visa is available to Nigerians. The Malaysian e-Visa is also not available to Nigerians at this time.
As the name suggests, you get to enter Malaysia a single time on this visa, and you are eligible to stay in the country for a period of 30 calendar days from entry.
Visa on arrival(VOA) is no longer issued in Malaysia except for nationals of the People’s Republic of China and India.
The applicant must show proof of sufficient funds for staying in Malaysia.
In summary, anybody intending to visit Malaysia should fulfill the following conditions:
Every person entering Malaysia must possess a valid national passport or an internationally recognized Travel Document valid for travelling to Malaysia.
Any person not in possession of a passport or travel document which is recognized by the Malaysian Government must obtain a Document in lieu of Passport.
An application for the Document in lieu of Passport can be made at any Malaysian Representative Office abroad.
Holders of Travel Documents such as Certificate of Identity, Laisser Passer, Titre de Voyage, Permanent Residence Certificate must ensure that their passage to the country of origin is assured.
The documents must be valid, for more than six(6) months from the date of entry.
Malaysia Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements
The Malaysian student visa is required for those intending to study in Malaysia.
The process of acquiring the Malaysian student visa(student pass) can be quite rigorous.
The application process and the list of documents required may change at any time.
Make sure to get the latest information on the visa regulations directly from the Malaysian embassy in your home country.
Studying in Malaysia as a tourist on a social pass is not possible.
It is not possible to extend the 6-month student pass validity in Malaysia.
If you wish to study for additional time, you must return to your home country and start the application process again.
It is advised to apply for two semesters at once so that you will be issued a 1-year visa.
You should not arrive in Malaysia earlier than 1 week before the semester starts so that you have enough time to apply for the visa in your home country.
Applying for a Malaysian student visa(Student Pass) is more difficult than applying for the student visa of many other countries.

All students travelling for study to Malaysia(including those going to Universiti Putra Malaysia[UPM]) are required to apply for a student visa(Student Pass). Studying as a tourist on a Social Pass is not possible.
